Effective March 20th 2012, LOG will offer evening appointments at the Granite Run office every Tuesday. Staffing includes physician, nurse, x-ray technologist, cast technician, and clerical staff. Evening hours are also offered at Mount Joy on Mondays along with every other Wednesday, and every other Thursday at our office in the Ephrata Health Pavilion every Thursday.

Drs. Keener and Long Inducted into American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons

Brian J. Keener, MD and Joy L. Long, MD were inducted as Fellows of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) on February 8, 2012, during ceremonies at the Academy’s 2012 Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA.

With more than 37,000 members worldwide, Drs. Keener and Long were two of 620 new members inducted into the AAOS. The Academy is the largest medical association for musculoskeletal specialists. Its Fellows have completed medical school, plus at least five years of specialty study in orthopedics in an accredited residency program, passed a comprehensive oral and written exam, and have been certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

With a special interest in hand and upper extremity injuries, Dr. Keener sees patients at Lancaster Orthopedic Group’s Granite Run, Mount Joy, and Ephrata Health Pavilion offices. Dr. Long, who sub-specializes in sports medicine and shoulder surgery, sees patients at the Granite Run, Mount Joy, Ephrata Health Pavilion and Lampeter Road offices.
