Dr. Troxell, a native of Clearfield, PA, received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating from his residency with PinnacleHealth System in Harrisburg, he then went on to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. After finishing his fellowship in 2009, he practiced in Berks County.
A board-eligible orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Troxell is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and an associate member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is certified in Oxford Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty.
Dr. Troxell's clinical practice includes operative and nonoperative management of sports injuries, fractures, and degenerative/arthritic conditions. Among his special interests are the arthroscopic treatment of knee, shoulder, and hip injuries. He has significant experience working as a team physician at the high school, collegiate and professional sports levels.
